News for 10-9

Announcements:
·       Raz-Kids - Your child can read now read online on their Raz-Kids Account. You can do this on a computer or an iPad. Download the Raz-Kids App (if using the iPad). It is a robot. If you are using a computer go to the kids Raz-Kids login here: https://www.kidsa-z.com/main/Login/teacherUsername/. Raz-Kids accounts are shared in our building so Raz-Kids logins are as follows:

Last name Accardo-Harrington login: jdimaggiok
Last name Jones-Xia login: dburkse
The password is the banana graphic for every student
Click on the Reading Assignment and books at their independent reading level will come up. They can listen to the book, read it on their own, and answer comprehension questions. Once they take the quizzes they will earn starts which they can in turn buy items to build their rocket with. We have practiced using Raz-Kids on the iPads on Friday so they should be familiar with it.

·       Team Mom – Mrs. Goethals has asked that each classroom have a “Team Mom” who is a previous Webber parent. Our Team Mom will be Maureen Bucci. You may contact her if you have any information regarding Webber that you are unsure of (i.e. lunch, attendance, lost and found, parking, etc) instead of contacting me. Her email address is buccim4@aol.com and her cell phone number is 248-229-5010.\

Fire cadets visited us and taught us about fire safety. We learned to only call 9-1-1 if there is an emergency, to sleep with our door closed, to have a safe spot outside our house in case of a fire, and to stop, drop, and roll.

Kyler and Vivienne sharing the "counting on" strategy for addition.

Students practice signing our school song! Lyrics are below.
