Week of 3/19...

March is Reading Month (Week of March 19-23)
  • On Friday, 3/23 we will have a classroom Read-in ‘Paw’ty. Students can wear pajamas, bring in their favorite stuffed pet and enjoy a ‘Doggy Bag” of treats which will be provided! 
  • Students will get to meet a therapy dog on Tuesday
  • Wacky Wednesday, March 21 - College Day 

Learning This Week
Readers will...
  • think about the story to problem solve tricky words
  • keep track of whats happening in their story and retell
  • think about what kind of word would fit when they're stuck
Writers will...
  • write a review of a place to eat, a place to visit, a movie to see, and a toy to buy
  • create class anthologies 
  • immerse into realistic fiction 
Mathematicians will...
  • look at math in real world situations
  • review comparison bars
  • take their unit 6 test (will come home next week)
  • take their quarter 3 asssessment
In social studies students will learn about more great leaders this week - Martin Luther King Jr., Susan B. Anthony, and Helen Keller.
